The Showoff portion of SCC allows participants to
compete in a show-and-shine style event. During an
SCC event, Showoff and Drag Race competitions run
simultaneously through-out the day.
General Judging Information
All competitors who register for the Showoff
competition will receive a judging package complete
with Showoff Judging Sheets. Carefully read the
information in the judging package! Competitors are
responsible for familiarizing themselves with the
rules and information in the judging package.
Failure to follow the rules and guidelines within
the judging package may result in poor scoring.
Judging scores are recorded on Judging Sheets by a
panel of judging personnel who have trained eyes and
many years of professional show car judging
experience.
A
sample Judging Sheet is included in the Appendix of
this guide to give competitors a general idea of the
Showoff judging criteria, the scoring, and the
category weightings. While, competitors may find the
sample sheet helpful, please note that SCC
organizers may make minor revisions to the judging
package and its related scoring system before the
event dates. The sample judging package provided
here is for use as a general guide only.
All
Showoff competitors must complete the information
required on the Judging Sheet. Judges will not score
vehicles with incomplete Judging Sheets or illegibly
completed Judging Sheets. Print neatly!
At a minimum, Showoff competitors should remember
to:
-
1) Fill out the competitor identification
information at the top of the Judging Sheet.
2) Fill out the vehicle identification
information at the top of the Judging Sheet.
3) Place a checkmark in the appropriate boxes
for entry into Categories 1, 2, 3, and 4.
If
there are any modifications, components, or features
you would like the judges to be aware of, please
describe them in the appropriate comment areas on
the Judging Sheets. Please do not write in, or
otherwise mark, the shaded areas of the Judging
Sheet. They are for judging use only.
Competitors must ensure that Judging Sheets are
placed securely onto windshields. Vehicles that do
have Judging Sheets on the windshield will not be
judged.
The
judges will make an effort to judge all Showoff
vehicles. If your vehicle is entered in both the
Showoff and Drag Race, ensure that your vehicle has
not missed judging while it was competing in the
Drag Racing event. Ensure that your vehicle has been
judged BEFORE the judging deadline.
It is

by reporting to the SCC registration booth.
